Les Creisses 2021 is a concentrated red wine with intense aromas of ripe black fruits, spicy notes and touches of mint and cocoa. On the palate it is powerful and complex and reveals an exceptional density. A wine with round and fresh tannins and a long and sweet finish.

A first for Lake's Folly, this year's Red is a blend of Shiraz 47%, Merlot 34%, and Petit Verdot 19%. After harvesting our Shiraz, Merlot and Petit Verdot (and Chardonnay) grapes in 2022, we experienced very late harvest rainfall which impacted the Cabernet grapes, leading us to the decision to not harvest the Cabernet (the first time on record this has happened at Lake's Folly). The finished result: a unique, unprecedented blend - a cracking wine (albeit without our usual Cabernet component), though in very limited quantities this release!

Rich, dark, and enticing. Flavors of lush blueberry, plums, and blackberry cobbler. Finish is smooth, long, and juicy.

A very distinctive and immediately enjoyable Pinot Noir, this is a very juicy, raspberryish, cherryish wine with hints of strawberry and oak and a refreshing note of pepper.
 

Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre are brilliantly compatible - as many people will have discovered in great examples from the Rhone Valley. The blend gives spicy blackberryish flavours and a hint of pepper. There is also a distinctive mineral, perfumed note that comes from the Mourvedre. The different soils and altitudes contribute hugely too.

Delightfully aromatic with bright raspberry and pouring cream notes. Blackberry, nutmeg and pannacotta like creaminess on the palate. 

Notes of violet, cherry and red fruits that head towards some vanilla and spices with light notes of wax and leather.

A powerful Super Tuscan (Sangiovese, Merlot), showing some beautiful tertiary development. Notes of dark plums, cherries, tobacco, truffle and cedar. 

A powerful and intense Chianti with a long life ahead. Notes of rich dark fruits, tobacco, italian herbs, leather. Subtle minerality and tertiary development provide further depth.

A complex and intense wine with notes of cherry and geranium - an elegant and harmonious wine.

Notes of pencil shavings, dried cherries and plum. A well-rounded entry level Super Tuscan (Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon).  

A mix of white and red varieties creating a perfect blend for a chilled red :-)
