If you've never used an alcohol delivery service in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs before, or you've been burned by a delivery fee that made a $20 order suddenly cost $35, here's exactly how Booze Hound works and why it's built specifically around this part of Sydney rather than as a national app.

The basics

Booze Hound delivers wine, beer, spirits and a few extras (think snacks and cigarettes) to homes and offices across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, from Darlinghurst through to Watsons Bay and south to Queens Park, the Wentworth electorate, essentially. We only operate in this specific area, which we'll explain more below.

- No delivery fee, ever, for orders within our delivery area.

- Just a $20 minimum, low enough that a single bottle of wine or a six-pack easily qualifies.

- Bottle-shop pricing, what you see online is exactly what you'd pay walking into the shop, not a marked-up "convenience" price.

- Fast turnaround, since we're delivering from a real bottle shop based in Bellevue Hill, not a warehouse on the other side of the city.

Why we're not a national delivery app

Most alcohol delivery apps operate across entire states or the whole country, which means they're often working with distribution centres, not a local shop that actually knows the area. Booze Hound is run directly by Bellevue Hill Bottle Shop, an independent, local bottle shop, which means the person packing your order is the same person who could recommend a specific bottle if you asked them in person.

How to order

1. Order through boozehound.com.au or the Booze Hound app.

2. Choose from our full range of wine, beer, spirits and extras.

3. Confirm your address is within our delivery area (Sydney's Eastern Suburbs / Wentworth electorate).

4. We'll deliver during our opening hours, generally 12pm to 8:45pm, later on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

A note on our delivery area

We deliberately only deliver within Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. If you've found this page searching from somewhere else, including Brisbane, we're a Sydney-only local delivery service and don't currently operate outside this area. We'd rather do one area exceptionally well than spread ourselves thin trying to cover the whole country.

Age and ID requirements

By law, we need confirmation that the person receiving the delivery is over 18 and not intoxicated, this protects both you and us, and it's non-negotiable regardless of the order.
